Hay bartender,
poor me something strong,
not to forget,
just to sit with the weight of it all.
Make it dark,
like the nights I can’t sleep,
make it burn,
like the thoughts I can’t drown.
No chaser, no ice,
let it sting the way life does,
let it remind me that I’m still here,
even if I don’t know why.
Hay bartender,
do you ever wonder,
how many people drink,
just to feel a little bit less empty?
