Some people are dead inside,
they wake up because they’re supposed to.
They eat because it’s expected,
They say “I’m fine” because anything deeper would require a pulse they no longer feel.
They are neither happy nor sad,
just empty in a way that’s too hard to explain without scaring people.
It’s not that they want to die, It’s just that living has lost its colour and its flavor.
Every day is a loop, of pretending and surviving.
And they are so deeply tired of carrying a heart that forgot how to beat, and a body that no longer feels.
